Schoolhouse #1
We still need to locate the exact location of Schoolhouse #1 which is on the 1880 Township Map. Schoolhouse #1 was near Bellefontaine Road where it meets Thayer Road.
We also need to find the exact location of Schoolhouse #7
The Allen County History lists this school between Creps and Rousculp Road ???
Kerr Road between Rousculp Road* and Creps Road. This building's location must have been between Wonnel Road & Creps Road Gone/Unknown
Could this old school have been where the Paxton's lived during the 1980's If this is the correct location then it was at the corner of Ditzler and Kerr, I just am not sure and am having trouble finding a source that lists this building.
Anyone who might know please post an answer here.
We also need to find the exact location of Schoolhouse #10
The Allen County History lists this school at the Corner of Crabb and Amherst Road. It looks like there could have been a building on the North side of Amherst at the end of Crabb Road. Kevin Cox thinks it was closer to where Cherry Grove Church was but again we haven't confirmed this one on a Map. |
