Do not try to save seed from hybrid varities such as Big Boy, Better Boy, Early Girl, etc.

Heirloom "natural" seeds can be passed on from year to year. Cherry Bell, Ace 55, Brandywine are some varieties that can be stored for next season.

Cut a good ripe tomato from your best producing plants in half.

Squeeze seeds and juice into a glass jar.

Let the mixture grow some mold onto it. ( 2 to 3 days)

Rinse, pat dry with a paper towel and let air dry for a couple of days.

Store in an airtight jar for next season.

Beginning in mid February start seeds in a flat.
