Doris Cox's Half Moon Cookies
Measure in bowl and stir.
3 C. Flour
1 Teas. Baking Powder
1 Teas. Baking Soda
1 Teas. Salt
Cream until fluffy
1 ½ C. White Sugar
¾ C. Shortening (Use part margarine – part Crisco (shortening))
1 C. Sour Milk **
2 Eggs
1Teas. pineapple extract
Add dry ingredients –mix well. Drop by rounded spoonful on greased cookie sheet. Bake 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Ice when cool with creamy frosting.

**Substitute for sour milk:
Pour 1 tablespoon lemon juice (or white vinegar) in measuring cup and fill measuring cup with 2% milk to 1 cup. Allow milk to curdle for 15 minutes. Then add to recipe |
